At KVI beach on Vashon Island, when tide goes out, it goes WAY out. Below are a few images of a sea anemone (a word I still cannot pronounce correctly with any frequency) and a shell with a cool spiral on it. For all of these shots I was really standing in the muck. I knew I’d be getting wet and dirty, so I wore flip-flops. The trouble was that they kept getting stuck in the squishy sand and sucked off my feet. It was crazy bright out and everything was pretty slimy, but I got some cool shots of things you might not normally see this close.
Some of these are for sale as prints in the Puget Sound Gallery.
